School Age-Fashion an Design

Through this whole school year, the children had shown their interest in designing. During their play, they talked about fashion. They liked creating with all kinds of materials. So we had done several activities about this topic from September. Now get ready for our art show!

We had made necklaces and bracelets.

We used plastic tubing to make this amazing bracelet. That was not easy. The children worked really hard to make this pretty bracelet. 

They used nail polish to make their own design of necklace.

During the cold days when we could not go outside the children decided to design their own 

Snow Globes.

The children were amazing artists! Even though they only had newspaper, they made some pretty cool art!

Finally they got a chance to design clothes for popsicle people. Tape and markers were their  materials to create the pretty clothes.

When you gave them the topic about butterflies, then it looked like this...

If they were fairies, they would have these magic wands...

Those are just some of the activities we have done with the children. Since the children are still showing interest in creating, fashion and designing, we will do more activities about this topic in the future.

Nursery Transportation activities

During their free play, the nursery children had shown interest in transportation. They talked a lot about cars, trucks, trains and so on. So we had transportation as our topic for January.

First, we talked about vehicles. We made several crafts about cars and played gross-motor games.

Then we planned a provocation that asked the children to use their imagination to make different vehicles. The children were amazing. They made really cool vehicles with loose parts.

This girl said that was a helicopter.

This boy made a helicopter as well.

"I made a car!"

Then we had talked about boats for several days. They had dramatic play about row boats. They also made their own boat with blocks!

They really had fun making the sailboat snack-tivity and enjoyed eating their boats.

We used scooters as our row boats and the children had a crazy row boat game.

The last week, we talked about rocket ships and spaceships. 

We had a busy month learning all about transportation. 

Cardboard Challenge with amazing ideas

We just did a cardboard challenge this Monday. The children always have brilliant ideas so we decided give them a chance to show their imagination and interests.

" I made a place for hockey."

 "A table hockey game."

"This is the game: Hello neighbor!"

 "I made a sword and a shield."

"This is a mannequin."
