For the last few weeks our children have been making all kinds of creations with popsicle sticks and hot glue. In the last week or so, we have taken on the role of blacksmiths and began making wooden swords, so then maybe that makes them carpenters?
Either way, Ms. Shuang enhanced their play experience by getting them to make shields to go with their swords . They worked for hours developing their shields using cardboard, markers and stickers.
After their shields were complete, they suited up in their armour a.k.a their snowsuits and headed outside for an epic jam battle. If you're not familiar with the term, they put jam on paintbrushes and tried to poke at each others shields.
Our warriors enjoyed a much deserved pizza snack after their long day.
