After School Halloween Challenges

For our school-age children, they like challenging and creative activities these days. We have done several fun activities related to their interests. We will post those theme activities later. Of course, we have done more about Halloween this week. Let's take a look.
We did salt pumpkin painting. The children designed some cool pumpkins!

Finally we got some scary pumpkin faces.
On Halloween, we had played games for trick or treating. We put different types of candies in the cups and the children worked hard to get the candies they wanted.

Nursery Halloween Party

For Nursery, we had a really fun party on Halloween. We had several cool Halloween games and the children all had fun.

We started our party with some Halloween sensory play. The children also made clay monsters.

We ended up having monsters with several eyes and lots of legs.

We also had our music teacher Ms. Robyn on that day.

We made Mummy cupcakes together for snack.

Before they went home, they did pumpkin fishing. They got their treats from the cups.

October 19 Inservice Day

We had a very fun and busy day today! In the morning, we went to Dakota Bowling Lanes with the children from Bonnycastle School. They were so happy that they could enjoy few hours with their friends from the other location.

In the afternoon, we had done two activities. We had made really cool Halloween lanterns with Ms. Heather.

The children designed their own lanterns with milk jars and sharpies. They will put glow sticks in the lanterns on Halloween.

Other than the lanterns, we had also made Extending Grabbers. We planned this activity based on the children's interest in STEM.

Finally, they had to try to pick up a cup with their extending grabber successfully.
